What do I enjoy about the work I do?

I enjoy people, listening to their ideas and providing a functional design that works within the clients budget and needs.

My process in working with a new customer:

  • I will schedule an appointment with you on site, asking questions and listening to your interests and desires. I will provide a design estimate and allow you to respond before I prepare a design, sketch or plan.

  • Once the plan is approved you can take the construction drawings to a contractor to get an accurate bid or use my service of finding a reliable contractor to do the work on time and within budget.

My Education and Training in Landscape Design:

  • I have a professional degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota.

  • I also have a 2 year Drafting degree. I worked as a Draftsman for a Civil Engineering firm, gaining valuable knowledge of design, construction, surveying, project layout and professional standards in engineering and architecture.

How I got started in Landscape Design:

I grew up on a South Dakota farm and developed a strong work ethic from my parents. I enjoyed working the land and seeing things grow. I also liked to build things (fences, picnic tables, dog house, etc.).              I have combined my interested in agriculture and engineering to seek a career in Landscape Architecture.

Advice for a person looking to hire a Landscape Designer?
